Having struggled with allergies, food allergies, digestion problems, gallbladder attacks, depression and anxiety for many years, transitioning to a plant-based diet changed my life! Or maybe you’re just sick of feeling like crap all the time - tired, sick, bloated, sore, headaches, brain fog, allergies, food allergies, acne, stuffiness and puffiness, belly and bathroom problems…you know the deal. I’ve been there, too!
When I enrolled in a Holistic Nutritionist certification to solve my own allergies, ailments and “food problems,” I started to learn more about how a plant based, holistic lifestyle could help me. But it seemed so restrictive, and I kind of freaked out. How could it possibly taste good? Would I have to live off salads and green juice? What would I eat? How would I live a normal life? How could I do this?
It took a lot of trial and error to figure out a new way to approach food and how to cook. But the more involved I got, and the more resources I found, the more I realized how easy it is…and it can actually taste amazing!
For the first time in my life, I didn’t have to count calories or obsess over what I was eating or my weight. I literally just ate my food and lived my life. I LOVED what I was eating, and it actually became a fun challenge turning my favorite dishes into healthier whole, plant based meals. And I loved that I didn’t feel sick or tired after I ate. I felt great!
While there’s plenty of information out there explaining WHY a plant based diet is the way to go for optimal health, I had a hard time finding information that showed me HOW to make this transition…in a practical way. It took a lot of learning and experimentation, but I figured it out! The more I learned and the better I felt, the more I wanted to shout it from the rooftops.
So I created what I wished I had when I started making my own transition…a compilation of information, tools, resources and recipes…and most importantly a guide for taking just about any dish and making it plant based, so you don’t feel like you’re missing out on life. It’s a real, practical approach to transitioning to a whole foods, plant based diet, and it’s exactly HOW to do it and stick to it.
